Praying For Teachers

I haven't posted in a while. Trying to finish school while trying to keep up a blog is not the easiest thing to do....nevertheless, here I am again!

All of my previous blog posts have been a criticism of the education system, or how the education system leaves children with special needs behind, and while all of that is still true, I want to talk about something that is a topic most people don't think about doing.

PRAYING FOR TEACHERS

Some people would say "why pray for them? They signed up for it" or they might say "I need to be praying for myself right now."

I know that's probably what you're thinking, because we all do it. It's human nature, we worry and fret over our own problems without the consideration of what other people are going through. I'm just as guilty of it as you are, but we can't be that way anymore.
Look at our society, we live in a world full of people and we're all saying "what can you do for me?"

Teachers are more than just teachers. Teachers are counselors and "school moms," they're problem solvers and advocates.
Teachers do more in an 8 hour day than people think they do.

Next time you go to pray, think about your child's teacher, or a friend who's a teacher. Think about their struggles. Pray for their strength, their tenacity, and their never quit attitude.
Because your prayer might be the thing that helps them get through another day.
